Experience a true icon of watch design with this Universal Genève Polerouter, powered by the legendary Caliber 215 microrotor movement. With its sleek black dial, traditional twisted lugs, and signed crown, this timepiece is a visually stunning representation of mid-century elegance and innovation.

Designed by none other than Gérald Genta—who would later create legendary watches like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus—the Polerouter was his first major masterpiece. Commissioned by Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) in the 1950s, this watch was built to withstand the powerful magnetic fields encountered on the airline’s new polar flight routes. Its groundbreaking micro-rotor movement not only made the watch slimmer but also set the stage for future automatic watch designs.

Today, Universal Genève is making a long-awaited comeback, having been acquired by Breitling, bringing renewed attention to its storied heritage. This Polerouter remains a testament to UG’s legacy, running well and keeping reliable time. The micro-rotor winds the mainspring smoothly, while manual winding is slightly clunky—likely needing oiling—but fully functional.

Fitted with a new rally-style strap with quick release, this Polerouter is ready for its next adventure. A true collector’s piece, blending history, design, and mechanical brilliance.
